HELP!! Player won't start after host crash

I have a Windows 8.1 host that has been working well with Player 6.0.3 for at least 6 months.  Today, while I had multiple VMs running, the host OS crashed.  The host rebooted after the crash and seems okay.  However, now Player won't start *any* VMs, even ones that weren't running during the crash.

Each time I try to start a VM, I see this error:

Not enough physical memory is available to power on this virtual machine with its configured settings.

It is possible that native applications and/or services have locked down memory which could be preventing the virtual machine from launching.  Shutting down unnecessary applications or services may free enough memory to launch this virtual machine.

If you were able to power on this virtual machine on this host computer in the past, try rebooting the host computer.  Rebooting may allow you to use slightly more host memory to run virtual machines.

The host has 64 GB of memory and only 3 GB is being used so that's definitely not the problem.  I'm thinking that VMware Player has some temp files that were left in an unexpected state.  Is there any way to tell VMware Player to clear these out?  Or should I reinstall VMware Player?
