Crash after left running for extended periods of time or sleeping

Hello,

I am running several vms (not all at once), but they all seem to crash for some reason after running for a (sometimes short) period of time.

I get the following error:

VMware Player unrecoverable error: (vthread-9)

NOT_IMPLEMENTED d:/build/ob/bora-2305329/bora/lib/pollDefault/pollDefault.c:3890

"C:\Users\Sam\AppData\Local\Temp\vmware-Sam\vmware-vmplayer-13448.log".

You can request support.

To collect data to submit to VMware technical support, run "vm-support".

We will respond on the basis of your support entitlement.

Here is the log file Player generated as a result of the crash:

http://pastebin.com/ZVNMa8Ph

After these crashes, if I try to access the vm that crashed, I get another set of errors:

This virtual machine appears to be in use.

If this virtual machine is not in use, press the "Take Ownership" button to obtain ownership of it. Otherwise, press the "Cancel" button to avoid damaging it.

Configuration file: C:\Users\Sam\Documents\Virtual Machines\Ubuntu 64-bit\Ubuntu 64-bit.vmx.

and

Error while opening the virtual machine: Taking ownership of this virtual machine failed.

The virtual machine is in use by an application on your host computer.

Configuration file: C:\Users\Sam\Documents\Virtual Machines\Ubuntu 64-bit\Ubuntu 64-bit.vmx.

The error is not specific to vm OS, I have both Windows (Win10) and Linux (Ubuntu 14.10, Arch) vms.

Does anyone know what causes this crash, or perhaps what I can do to prevent it?

Thanks in advance!
